Privacy Policy

The short version

The salary and options you enter are used only by calculation code running in your own browser. They are never sent to us, stored on a server or shared with anyone.

What we store

This site has no accounts and no database. Your last chosen province, region or option is saved in your browser's local storage so the calculator opens the way you left it; it stays on your device and is cleared when you clear your browser's site data. When you use a calculator, your inputs also appear in the page address so the result can be shared as a link; that address is only sent anywhere if you share it.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Feedback you send us

The feedback form sends what you type: the topic, your message, the calculator you chose, your email address if you give one, and (only if you leave the box ticked) the address of the calculator page you were using, which includes the salary you entered there. Until an online form service is set up, pressing Send opens your own email app with this message filled in, and nothing is sent unless you send that email. We use feedback only to reply to you and to improve the site, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown.
